The development of information technology has brought about the creation of information at a higher rate. The dramatic acceleration in the development and use of information and communication technology (ICT) during the last few years has set in motion, a worldwide process of transition from the industrial to the information society . Most people including scientists use the Internet with the aim of getting information for their research, most of them end up using most of their time on the Internet searching for information ignoring librarians/information specialists who are trained in literature search. This book offers the relevance of dynamic and well resourced information centres in this era of information overload and explosion and how information specialists can offer accurate and useful information to researchers/scientists in the search of information for research and dissemination of research results. Also why some scientists do not use of centres.
