Other topics include the Cold War and the accompanying fear of atheism, the Kennedy years and the impact of his assassination, the Vietnam War and social reaction to it, and the paradox presented by the controversial presidency of Richard Nixon. Ronald Huch earned his Ph.D. at Michigan University. Dr. Huch is a professor in the history department at Eastern Kentucky University, where he teaches courses on European history and American civilization. Dr. Huch's research interests include modern Europe and 19th Century England.
