This study is undertaken in order to understand the reciprocal relationship between stress and the effects related with it. Stress is the basic component or element in the life of every human being. It is such an element which comes up with so many other negative components. General insurance sector is one of the sectors where the employees have to work hard to build new customers and retain the old ones which is definitely not an easy task and such pattern of work definitely causes stress. But there is a huge difference between the stress level in public sector general insurance and private sector general insurance business as the basic policy of these two companies differ from each other in nature. Also, the component that causes stress among the employees' relationship between job stress and its impact on Job performance, employee engagement among private general insurance sector. Research is conducted to serve a diverse range of purposes such as enhancing the knowledge of the researcher, developing theories and revising facts.
