The 5 objectives are; to identify the various types and composition of waste generated in the study area; examine the solid waste disposal and management techniques in the study area; examine the problems of solid waste management in the study area; examine the household income and volume of waste generated in the study area, and examine the effect of solid waste management and quality of environment in Benin City while the 3 hypotheses tested are; There is no significant variation in the significant variation in the techniques of waste management on quality of environment among the 3 Local Government areas used.
