Web mining is an application of data mining approaches to web data sets. Three major web mining techniques are web content mining, web structure mining and web usage mining. Content mining applies techniques to web documents. Structure mining exposes unidentified associations in website and web document structures. In this work, WUM is considered since it discovers useful usage patterns from web data.

Dr. J. Vellingiri completed his Ph.D (Computer Science and Engineering) in Anna University, Chennai in the year 2012. He is having more than 13 years of academic experience. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor (Senior) in the School of Information Technology and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore Campus.
