This monograph described the second project of the author, updated from the original Chinese vision "Functionalization and Reconstruction of Oligonucleotides", completed in Peking University. A novel acyclic nucleic acid mimic based on (S)-3-Amino-1,2-propanediol was synthesized and evaluated in duplexes and quardruplexes, which showed superior biostability and would probably find its application as diagnose and therapy agents. This research would shed light on further research on artificial nucleic acids.

Autor

Meng Su was born in July 1988, Beijing, PR China. He got his bachelor and master degrees in School of Pharmaceutical Science, Peking University and is currently pursuing his doctor title in Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
