Everyone who is ready to shake some things up in themselves. At first glance, my story may be overlooked because of who I am connected to. My parents have been in the entertainment industry for a very long time, but not many people know I have another parent. My biological mom raised me as well. Most people think that I haven't had any troubles in life and that we are this super-rich family and that's not the case. Most times I had to experience things on my own to build character and at other times I was flat-out rebellious. Both times I did things my way. My story is unique because it's raw. It's unique because it's crafted by the creator.

To be completely healed is a beautiful goal, but it can often-times feel impossible to attain. It's a goal we all work daily to accomplish and Porcia is no exception. Intentional healing is talked about throughout her new book "A Healer's Journey to Healing", a memoir that takes the reader on the journey Porcia has traveled for the last 35 years. In "A Healer's Journey to Healing", Porcia bares her soul to readers with the hopes of influencing a generation to heal. During the past couple of years, she has endured indescribable heartache, while dealing with the stresses of the pandemic and the unfair treatment of people of color. Porcia has anchored herself in God's word and pours her experiences into her writing. "Writing has always been therapy for me. It's my way to do a brain dump. This is a gift that I am thankful for. I started out writing poetry when I was 13 years old. I would rather be judged a thousand times on a book than for someone to pick apart my poetry. That's a sacred space for me. What I am doing with this book is for the masses."Chapters like "Industry baby" give the readers insight into what Porcia's life was like growing up in the entertainment industry with celebrity parents then turning around and working in the same industry. The book ends with "The Healer's Soul", a chapter that takes the reader on Porcia's journey through divorce and divine healing. She prides herself on being an intentional mother. "My children are my motivation, and I work hard daily to make them proud. Honestly,I am the student and they are the most patient teachers."After a few years of pain, Porcia has emerged as a triumphant and wiser woman who has discovered her true purpose in life. That is to talk about God's grace and mercies through her life experiences."Your purpose is already inside of you, you just have to get connected to the creator and find out what it is you're supposed to be doing on this earth. That is my goal with this book. First, to let the world know that God's love is real, and lastly to let people know that there is greatness in you. Unlock it and go be great."
