In this book, the design and analysis of a compact coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed multiband monopoleantenna loaded with electromagnetic bandgap structures (EBG) is presented. The introduction of Uniplanar EBG structure in combination with Rhombic SRR resulted in significant decrease of surface waves, thereby providing an increase in gain of proposed antenna compared with simple monopole.
