Hermosa, with the help of Jaime Soledad, his trusted aide and Lilly's lover, concoct a complicated plot to thwart the threat. Lilly, as usual, is unable to remain on the sidelines. What ensues is a cat and mouse game involving Becerra, Jaime, and Vera, an enigmatic Mexican who is not who she seems.
