Boy, was I wrong! There is no amount of prep work you can do. Once you're in it, it's like a freight train you just have to ride through or jump out of the way before it knocks you down. My life was crazy, and to top it all off, I had to go and start my own franchise dealing with in-home care for my husband and a lot of people who had the same issues he had. I was working insane hours trying to support my sick husband and find some sense in all this misery. I found out through this process what kind of person I am and just where my breaking point is. With the help of my parents, who also had health issues at the time, we somehow made this all work out, but it wouldn't have been bearable at all without a little humor and, my dear friends, a box of Depends and a bottle of tequila!
