22783 Teng (provisional designation: 1999 GT52) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered through the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth-Object Search at the Anderson Mesa Station in Coconino County, Arizona, on April 11, 1999. It is named after Stacy H. Teng, a space physicist and alumna of the University of Maryland. Asteroids (from Greek 'star' and 'like, in form') are a class of Small Solar System Bodies in orbit around the Sun.
