Johny Dar is an artist and designer pioneering an original form of expression through art, fashion, multimedia and music. His groundbreaking work delivers a new renaissance of experience to a global audience, and has earned him international acclaim across a wide range of media and industries. Johny Dar was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1978. Growing up, he nurtured dreams of becoming a filmmaker, convinced from an early age that he had a vision to share. Discovering his talent for design, he moved from New York to Los Angeles in 1997 to study fashion, launched his first fashion label in 1999, and has been producing timeless collections ever since. But he turned his back upon his thriving career in 2002, leaving LA to seek new experiences and explore the world. For years he travelled, studying different cultures and traditions, striving to break away from the known and nurture his talent and creative expression in new ways. During his journey Dar developed his unique artistic style, which he sees as the fruit of his exploration and culmination of his experience, and which forms the heart of his work in every medium he engages.
