I am also conscious of the fact that the written word is a very powerful tool, and with this in mind I have stuck to the truth, however painful at times, but equally uplifting and amusing. I have tried not to become judge and jury, and have been mindful of the fact that most of the people I have written about are dead, and therefore unable to defend themselves, or give themselves a pat on the back. These memories have been written as seen through my eyes only, and are as correct as my memory recalls, luckily I've been blessed with a very good memory. For those who have followed my story from its start, you will recall that my Mother died during the early years of World War Two, and that I had always felt that the full details of her passing contained a degree of mystery. The family always seemed to keep me in the dark, and when the cause of death was revealed to me I understood why.
