The main goal of this work is to design a multiband antenna based on miniaturization principle to address numerous challenging compact antennas in terms of size, gain, extended bandwidth and frequency of operation. In particular, we demonstrate the design procedure of multiple compact antennas and their properties via comparative study of different techniques such micro-strip antenna, coplanar waveguide antenna and asymmetric coplanar strip antenna. As a matter of fact, it is visualized from our research work that every technique following certain specifications by considering the some advantageous features to overcome the drawbacks of others. This thesis presents three printed antennas fed by microstrip and asymmetric coplanar strip techniques and analysed the all parameters associated with them. 'A compact O-Shaped printed ACS fed monopole dual-band antenna' and 'A novel compact printed ACS fed dual-Band antenna' is presented. It concludes that ACS enchance the efficiency and bandwidth in efficient manner by considering the such properties compactness, broaden bandwidth and ease in structure due to planar transmisson line.
