Produktbeschreibung
Providing information about issues associated with Social Enterprise Development, this book aims to facilitate researchers, practitioners and policy makers attempts to understand the secrets of a social enterprise phenomenon. The book describes the promoters and barriers often faced by social enterprises, and considers these from both philosophical and practical perspectives useful tools for those interested in social enterprise. Steinerowski s book is unique in the growing field of social enterprise literature, adding another level of analysis which considers the analytical framework of Giddens (1984) structuration theory. Interesting aspects of the book include the presentation of different contexts of social enterprise development including a geographical context (i.e. rural areas) and a conceptual context (i.e. health and care service provision); thus identifying differences between selected settings. Developing social enterprise: an investigation of promoters & barriers describes the differing roles of different types of agents in social enterprise development and indicates suggestions around what needs to change in order to further develop the social enterprise sector.
