The aim of this study was to conduct on leachate characterization and to treat it by leachate recycling or recirculation to achieve the highest MSW biodegradation rate and to observe the BOD, COD levels. Landfill leachate is the liquid that forms when rain water percolates through landfill deposits, landfill waste contaminates the water making leachate which is both anoxic & acidic, distinct odour and high BOD, COD values which make it unmanagable to treat on site but can be transported to Wastewater Treatment plant.
