Organic electronic and photonic devices have
attracted great attention in recent years due to
their unique properties. From electronic point of
view, organic materials show capability similar to
their inorganic counterpart of transporting charges,
producing light and even magnetism. Mechanically,
organic is a soft material which can be processed at
low temperature. This book focuses on the photonic
side of the technology the organic light-emitting
diode (OLED). The book starts with introduction of
OLED history, physics of organic semiconductor and
the various types of materials, fabrication and
characterizations of OLED. Various optimization
techniques to improve the performance of the OLED
using multilayer structure were discussed in depth.
This book is intended for diversity readers such as
graduate and postgraduate student in science and
engineering and newcomers to the field. It provides
numerous relevant up-to-date references for those
working in OLED.
