Als die anderen Geburtstagsgäste kommen und Svenjas weite schwarze, ausgebeulte Hose sehen und die kurzen, strubbeligen Haare, sind sie sprachlos. Aber Svenja besteht jetzt auch auf Sven. Als die kinder topfschlagen spielen, möchte Svenja jetzt aber lieber mit ihrem Bruder und Marie im rosanen Kleidchen Fußball spielen. Aber es ist so heiß in der dicken schwarzen Hose, und schwer ist sie auch noch. Als die beiden Mädchen sich dann umziehen, ist Svenja doch ganz froh, ein Mädchen zu sein und in ihr leichtes Sommerkleidchen schlüpen zu können. Jetzt spielt es sich mit ihren Freundinne doch wieder besser. Und als ihr Bruder Computerspielen vorschlägt, sind alle mädchen hellauf begeistert. Da merkt Svenja: Computerspiele kann man auch mögen, wenn man ein Mädchen ist. Vielleicht ist doch jetzt lieber wieder ein Mädchen...?!
Dieses Buch hat mich wirklich begeistert, weil man merkte, wie ein mädchen aus den Klischees ausgebrochen ist und ihr eigenes Ding durchgezogen hat. Der Leser kann sehen, dass man auch als mädchen wild leben kann. Ich kann dieses Buch bestens Gewissens an alle jungen kinder weiterempfehlen, da auch schöne bunte Bilder zu finden sind und das Ganze schön groß geschrieben ist.
