Als sie ihn betritt, verwundert darüber wie groß der Schrank im Innern ist, stellt sie bald fest, dass sie sich nicht länger in dem Haus des Professors befindet, sondern in einer verschneiten Winterlandschaft – im Land Narnia. Als sie, zurückgekehrt, von ihrem Abenteuer berichtet, glauben ihr die Geschwister kein Wort, denn für sie ist kein Moment vergangen, seit Lucy im Schrank verschwunden ist. Die aber beteuert, dass sie bei ihrem Besuch in Narnia Stunden zugebracht haben muss. Ihr Bruder Edmund gelangt auf demselben Weg nach Narnia, trifft dort aber auf die Weiße Hexe, die ihn mit ihren Zauberkünsten verhext, so dass Edmund verspricht, ihr die weiteren drei Geschwister zu bringen. Die Hexe hat nichts Gutes mit den Kindern im Sinn, das wird nur allzu deutlich. Schließlich gelangen tatsächlich alle vier Geschwister nach Narnia und treffen glücklicherweise zunächst auf Herrn Biber, der ihnen berichtet, dass sie sich mit „;Aslan“;, dem König von Narnia, treffen werden. Aslan, ein Löwe, ist der einzige, der den ewigen Winter und damit die grausame Herrschaft der Hexe beenden kann. Hat sich doch die böse Hexe während Aslans Abwesenheit selbst zur Königin von Narnia ernannt und verwandelt jeden, der ihr nicht folgt, zu Stein. Edmund, der noch immer ganz im Bann der Hexe steht, nutzt einen unbeobachteten Augenblick und stiehlt sich von seinen Geschwistern und dem Biber fort, um die Weiße Hexe vor der Allianz mit Aslan zu warnen. Ein Wettlauf mit der Zeit beginnt.
Ich finde das Buch total gut ist sehr spannend geschrieben ich empfehle es jedem weiter der eine Geschichte sucht die sehr toll geschrieben ist! Ich würde mir dieses Buch sofort kaufen wenn ich es nicht schon hätte. Der Film ist auch sehr spannend und immer mit überraschungen!
