Sounds like something that happened in America a long time ago. A lot of writers would take half a book to say what Moriarty converys in the last dozen pages of his book. He suggests, "Between the chaos in the Middle East and the slow motion train wreck of the world's financial system, our world is undergoing the greatest change since the Peace of Westphalia signed in 1648 that ended the Thirty Years' War...(which) essentially created the concept of a 'nation state' with sovereignty over its own territory and affairs." And set into motion the idea that you don't attack another state unless they attack you first.

Robert Moriarty is the publisher of a number of economic history books about resource stocks and investing. He has run a free website at WWW.321Gold.com for over twenty years. His background includes six years as a fighter pilot in the USMC including two years in Vietnam flying over 800 combat missions. For a time he delivered small aircraft to overseas destinations before starting his financial website. In his off hours from writing he searches for the next great mining discovery.
