Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Gordan Petri (Serbian Cyrillic; born 30 July 1969 in Belgrade) is a retired Serbian footballer. After starting his career in his homeland with Partizan, he moved to Scotland in 1993 when he joined Dundee United for Pds. 600,000. His impressive performances at Tannadice earned him a move to Rangers in July 1995 for Pds. 1.5m. He remained with Rangers for three years, helping them secure their ninth league title in a row, before a spell in England with Crystal Palace (where he scored once against Sheffield United) and in Greece with AEK Athens. He remained in Athens for a few months before moving back to Scotland when Jim Jefferies signed him for Hearts for Pds. 500,000 in 1999, where he remained until March 2001, leaving two years before the end of his contract by "mutual consent". Petri scored once for Hearts, his goal coming in the UEFA Cup against VfB Stuttgart.
