Der Engländer Neil Gaiman, 1960 geboren, arbeitete zunächst in London als Journalist und wurde durch seine Comic-Serie "Der Sandmann" bekannt. Er lebt seit einigen Jahren mit seiner Familie in den USA, in Minneapolis.
