Jimena Perez is a primary school educator in Richmond, British Columbia. Her passion for teaching began at a young age along with her passion for inspirational literature. She believes that picture books are great tools for both children and adults, as we can all learn from the beautiful messages behind each creation. Ms. Perez's hope is for children to know that their 'home', goes beyond their backyard. She hopes to inspire us all to help keep our Earth clean and to see the power that one person has to make a difference. We can all use a little reminder when it comes to sustainability and planet earth! The vibrant images in this story, created by two of Ms. Perez's students, represent the habitats and wildlife in the West Coast.
