The "Dictionary of Monograms 2" is a cultural-historical valuable list of monograms in the visual arts of the 19th and 20th centuries, and a continuation of the work "Monogramm Lexikon - Internationales Verzeichnis der Monogramme bildender Künstler seit 1850" ("Dictionary of Monograms - International List in the Visual Arts since 1850") by Franz Goldstein, published 1964 by Walter de Gruyter.
It contains about 25,000 monograms, which are reproduced authentically and collected from books, second-hand bookshops, museums or the like or directly from the artists themselves. The monograms are reproduced in a simple manner in order to make it easy for users to find what they are looking for.
