Peter James, geb. 1948, ist Schriftsteller und Filmproduzent. Er hat lange Jahre in den USA gelebt und war dort als Drehbuchautor und Filmproduzent tätig. Seit seiner Rückkehr nach England widmet er sich vorrangig dem Schreiben. Seine Thriller-Serie mit Detective Superintendent Roy Grace ist mittlerweile in 33 Sprachen übersetzt.
