    Critic - Of Mice & Men

    In my opinion the novel ” Of Mice & Men “ by “ John Steinbeck “ , wasn’t interesting. We read it in the school . Most of my classmate have the same opinion. The novel has no action or a meaningful plot. The whole story is very negative. The story is very boring and often unrealistic. It is very difficult to identify with the characters of the book. Moreover the language wasn’t easy to understand because of the American slang. The only thing which was good , is that you get much information about the working conditions and the standard of living in the past and the economic situation is described there. But all in all I wouldn’t read this novel and can’t recommend the book.

    Opinion

    we read the novel "Of mice and men" at school. The novel describes the situation of farm worker in the 1930´s in california. In this novel John Steinbeck shows the friendship between two workers and the life of the workers. The plot of the novel is exciting and varied but the speech is very difficult to understand because there are a lot of words which are not known. For people who like to read ambitious literature it is advisable. For school classes, it would not be my first choice but it is okay to read.
