Der vorliegende Band zum 80. Geburtstag des Münchener Altnordisten Kurt Schier enthält knapp drei Dutzend Studien zur Mythologie und Religionsgeschichte, zur Literatur und Dichtung des Nordens sowie zur Runologie und Namenforschung und bildet somit das weite thematische Spektrum der modernen Altnordistik ab.
