Umar Ahmed (PhD) is alumnus of the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS) and lecturer at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University (Sokoto, Nigeria). He specializes in language and gender studies and has published articles on gender in media discourse, sociolinguistics and language in education.
