Maryellen Weimer is a well-known writer, speaker, andproponent of effective teaching practices with more thanthirty-five years of experience. She was the director of theInstructional Development Program at Pennsylvania State Universityfor ten years and served as associate director at the NationalCenter on Postsecondary Teaching, Learning, and Assessment. Theeditor of The Teaching Professor, a monthly newsletter oncollege teaching, Weimer is also the author of numerous books,including Inspired College Teaching and EnhancingScholarly Work on Teaching and Learning.
