Autorenporträt
Birgit Pröll promovierte 2001 nach einem Informatik-Studium an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz im Bereich Web-basierter Infiormationssysteme. Seit 1991 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Anwendungsorientierte Wissensverarbeitung (FAW). 1996 - 2001 Leitung des FAW-Projektteams. Forschungsschwerpunkt: Information Retrieval, Web-Engineering, Entwicklung ubiquitärer Web-Anwendungen und Elektronic Commerce. 2003 Habilitation für das Fach Angewandte Informatik.
