The book explores the unijunction transistor that can be used in wide-range pulse generators, wide-range saw-tooth generator, analogue/digital converter, as well as a variable on/off-time lamp flasher. In high power switching projects, the silicon controlled-rectifier, also known as a thyristor, can be used.
