Michael W. Austin is Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Eastern Kentucky University. His research and teaching interests focus on ethics, both normative and applied, with a particular focus on virtue ethics and character development. His publications include Conceptions of Parenthood: Ethics and the Family (2007) and Being Good: Christian Virtues for Everyday Life (2012).
