The poems in Gregory Abels' Where to Begin are meditative, allowing us to stop and see our relationship with the natural world. They have been called, "gems", "celebrations", and "life-enhancing." Readers will sense a kinship with W.S. Merwin, Rilke, Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver and the Chinese poets of the past, but Abels remains a singular, original voice.
