M. Hakan Yavuz is a professor of political science at the University of Utah. He is the coeditor of War and Diplomacy: The Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878and the Treaty of Berlin and of War and Nationalism: The Balkan Wars, 1912-1913, and Their Sociopolitical Implications. Feroz Ahmad is chair of the Department of International Relations and Political Science at Yeditepe University in Istanbul. He is the author of several books, including The Young Turks and the Ottoman Nationalities: Armenians, Greeks, Albanians, Jews, and Arabs, 1908-1918.
