Autorenporträt
The Author: Hoang Ngoc Thanh was born in Vietnam in 1926, where he served as Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Graduate and Undergraduate Department of History and Geography at the College of Education, Saigon University. He also taught at other colleges in South Vietnam and published books on political and diplomatic history. After the Communist takeover of South Vietnam, he was demoted, and in April, 1981 he fled to Malaysia. Since his arrival in the United States he has engaged in teaching and research.
