Following her mother's 'accidental' death, Jamie Chancelor inherits a multimillion-dollar jewelry collection. Her cruel stepfather and his son want it, and they beat Jamie so badly in an attempt to get her to tell where she hid the jewelry, that she ends up in a coma. When Jamie awakens, the terror continues: she is in a state of non-movement and has amnesia. Jamie's doctor, having fallen deeply in love with her, helps her recover her memory and then, working with the FBI, develops an escape plan to keep his beloved out of the clutches of the insane father-son duo. Autorenporträt
LaRain Vickers started writing as a therapeutic distraction-as she says, "You can truly concentrate on only one thing at a time." She found that she enjoyed exploring her creativity, and she now prefers to focus on a recipe of romance with a heavy sprinkling of suspense, blended together to create plots with twists and turns that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. Rainy (as she is known to family and friends) and her husband Bradd live on a 400-acre beef and forestry farm in upstate New York. Her love of nature is often woven into her novels and featured in her original stained-glass dimensional artwork, which has been shown in several galleries.
