Dr Schmidt, born in 1950, of German descent. Graduated in Chinese, Linguistics and Theology from universities in Germany and the United States of America. He spent most of his working life in teaching and research as a university professor at universities in Europe, Africa and Asia. He has numerous publications to his credit.
