Martin Lubinda Simasiku nasceu em Mongu, província ocidental da Zâmbia. Nascido de uma família de cinco (5), é o 3º filho. Prosseguiu o seu bacharelato na Universidade da Zâmbia, onde está actualmente a fazer o seu mestrado em Sistemas de Sementes e Reprodução Vegetal. É também Criador de Algodão na At Cotton Development Trust na Zâmbia.
