Faizah Zakaria is assistant professor in the Departments of Southeast Asian Studies and Malay Studies at the National University of Singapore. She received her PhD in history from Yale University in 2018. She is the co-editor of Fatwas of Singapore: Science, Medicine and Health (MUIS Press Books 2017).
