S. Abbasi studied Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Davis and obtained her doctorate in Human Molecular Genetics from the University Putra Malaysia. She lectures at the Department of Medical Biotechnology, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where her principal research interests include the Molecular basis of breast cancer.
