In the contemporary world, where energy requirements are continually witnessing record highs, we are running low on conventional energy sources which has persuaded scientists and researchers to tap the natural and abundant sources of energy. Amongst all available in exhaustible energy reserves i.e. sun, wind, biomass, geothermal energy etc. solar energy seems to be quite promising one. To find the efficiency of a solar cell and to perform electrical analysis on it, its mathematical modeling is done. Here mathematical modeling followed by simulation and the analysis of simulated results is done for single diode model of solar cell. To study the performance of solar cell, its output current and power are plotted against voltage. Here EldoraVSP.72.AAA.03 datasheet which comprises of polycrystalline solar PV modules with 72 cells is verified and a comparison is made between datasheet values and simulated values. Also Photovoltaic cell (PV cell) performance for real time data is verified. Single diode model's five parameter which are crucial in deciding behavior of solar cell need to be found as they are not provided in the datasheet.
