This book at a quick glance gives a basic idea about the simple methods of synthesis of silver-Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanocomposites of various shapes (spherical, cube, dendrite and rod) and explains different techniques for characterization of the nanocomposites. It also explains morphological, structural, fascinating optical and electrical properties of silver-PVA nanocomposite . Silver nanoparticles show negative phoconductivity and give typical absorption spectra due to surface Plasmon resonance (SPR) arising from oscillation of conduction electrons which depend upon the size and shape of…mehr

Silver nanoparticles show negative phoconductivity and give typical absorption spectra due to surface Plasmon resonance (SPR) arising from oscillation of conduction electrons which depend upon the size and shape of the particles. Photoluminescence spectra also show colour tunable emission with the change in shape of nanocomposites. These properties along with the changes in various properties with change in size and shape of the nanocomposites are also explained here.
