MR Imaging of the lower extremity made easy This practical manual offers an innovative, practice-oriented approach to understanding, recognizing, and describing the MR imaging signs of the lower extremity. Ideal for radiologists, orthopedists, rheumatologists, surgeons, and sports medicine specialists, MR Imaging Strategies guides the reader step-by-step from MRI morphology through the indications, clinical symptoms and findings, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and technique. Each topic is presented in full on two facing pages, with images-presented in combination as they are in practice-and diagrams on one side and concise, easy-to-follow text on the other. Beginning with a concise review of MR physics, the book then proceeds through a general overview of the musculoskeletal system and then to MRI of the ankle, knee, and hip. Following an efficient, standardized method throughout, each chapter begins with normal MR anatomy and then works systematically through the specific disorders found in each region of the lower extremity. Features include: -Practice cases for self-testing or use in courses -More than 200 illustrations and 800 MR images -Easy-to-grasp layout with combined images, diagrams, and text -Full-color graphics throughout Highly unique, yet grounded in solid clinical experience, MR Imaging Strategies for the Lower Extremities takes the guess work out of MRI and makes evaluating and interpreting the images easy, even fun. All those who work with MR imaging will welcome this book. Martin Breitenseher,Professor of Radiology, Department of Radiology, University of Vienna, Waehringer Guertel 18-20, A 1090 Vienna, Austria.
