Black Bengal goats are dwarf goats and are known to be famous for its adaptability, higher disease resistant, fertility, fecundity, early sexual maturity, larger litter size, delicacy of meat and superior skin quality. The research was aimed to characterize and evaluate the productive performances of Black Bengal goat from 73 households at community level in Bangladesh. It was identified that variation in age, coat color and location had a great effect on the morphometry and production of Black Bengal goats. This book would inspire different country peoples to conserve their native goat genetic resources.

The author achieved MSc in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Bangladesh Agricultural University in 2011. Now he is working as a Scientific Officer at Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute, Saver, Dhaka-1341. He would like to explore his scientific and professional career in the field of Molecular and Quantitative Genetics.
