Dr. Togha has 25 years' experience in academic teaching. She studied general medicine at Shiraz University and is board certified in neurology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She is now a professor of neurology at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She teaches medical students and neurology residents and has received the Avicenna, Hakim Jorjani Award as one of the best university teachers in the field of education. Dr. Togha's main clinical and research interests are diagnosis and management of headache and facial pain disorders. She has co-authored more than 140 articles and 5 neurology books so far, and is among the most highly cited neurologists in Iran. She is the founder and president of the Iranian Headache Society and the organizer of the headache fellowship in Iran. She is also the editor of the headache section of the Iranian Journal of Neurology. She is actively involved in several domestic and international professional associations, including the In
ternational Headache Association (IHS) and the European Headache Federation and has presented at many national and international conferences.
