Detection of the general motion performance and physical development belongs to the current problem in the long- and short-term aspects, but also in terms of regional and specific aspects of school and its pupils. Especially in developed countries, the reduction of the general indicators level of physical performance and increasing level of physical development indicators is observed. The theoretical analysis is focused on the issue of age specifics, diagnostics of general physical performance and problems of teaching physical education and sports at primary schools in Slovakia. Methodology approaches the research group, the organization of the research, methods of acquisition and data evaluation. The results include the evaluation and comparison of general physical performance and physical development. It also includes the identification of pupils with excellent indicators and pupils with a very low level of general physical performance. The work is designed for teachers, particularly in primary schools, school executives, as well as for students who can compare the indicators with a population of children.
Autorenporträt
Ivan ¿illík (1958) ¿ a full- time professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Faculty of Arts of Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica. He has written over 200 scientific papers, lectured at more than 30 foreign and 50 national conferences and author of 7 scientific monographs. His main field is athletics.
