J. Kent Thompson loves to write about North Florida and the areas he has lived and worked in all his life. A graduate of Florida State University with a B.A. in History, he brings the people and places in North Florida alive. This is his fifteenth book. Other titles include; Remembering Florida's Forgotten Coast, Old Time Tallahassee from A to Z, North Florida Roads with Stories on the Side, Chasing Smoke: A Bucket List of the South's Best Barbecue, and Protectors of Paradise: The Origins and History of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
