Joseph Allen Costa began his career as a copywriter at the Herald Square Macy's on 34th Street and 7th Avenue in New York City. He was recruited by Bozell, Jacobs, Kenyon and Eckhardt as a copywriter and producer. He left Bozell after five years to focus on his writing career.
