Nowadays, there is a growing demand for reliable information on forest and tree carbon stock at both national and global levels. Therefore, measuring and estimating carbon stocks; and monitoring the state and changes in carbon stocks in various pools are very important to carbon trading and marketing. In this regard, the author wants to provide the baseline information of the role of forest types in carbon dynamics.

Pramod Ghimire schloss 2012 sein Studium der Forstwirtschaft am Institut für Forstwirtschaft in Hetauda an der Tribhuvan-Universität in Kathmandu, Nepal, als Berufsförster ab. Er erwarb einen Master of Science in Forstwirtschaft an der Universität für Landwirtschaft und Forstwirtschaft in Chitwan, Nepal. Derzeit arbeitet er als Assistenzprofessor an der Universität für Land- und Forstwirtschaft, Nepal.
