Sandra Mae Walton Carver is a retired Reading Specialist who spent 35 years in the field of Education before retiring in 2018. She has always had a passion for writing and was determined to fulfill her dream of becoming an author. Sandra earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Her graduate work was completed at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she earned a Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision and at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia thus earning a Master of Science in Education, Reading Specialist. Born and reared in Oxford, Mississippi, Sandra is the seventh of ten children of the late Lamar Quincy (L. Q.) and Ola Mae Stockard Walton. She resides in Virginia with her family where she has been for 31 years.
